This course focuses on the fundamentals of Project Management and embraces the standards and best practices as contained in the PMI PMBOK Guide and other international standards. It will provide you with a generic methodology (tools, techniques, and processes) to facilitate successful project delivery. Offered as an intensive 3-day course, it can be compressed into 2 days by omitting some of the theory or, it can be extended to 4 days by adding additional case work. The course is underpinned by the unique ODPM methodology and is based on the text “The Practice of Project Management: A Business-Focused Approach ” authored by Dennis Comninos and Enzo Frigenti.

This training course is presented as a balanced mixture of theory, discussion, and practical sessions. Practical work is done on a case study and suggested solutions are provided. A computer-based simulation is conducted which highlights the role of a PM during the Execution Phase and is used to reinforce the basic PM principles and concepts.
