Kobus le Roux has spent the last decade working in the construction environment on a wide range of complex projects in a variety of sectors including energy, rail, building, civil and mining infrastructure. During this time he has worked on projects with values that exceed R1 billion for well-known institutions and companies such as University of the Free State, Sol Plaatje University, Transnet, PRASA and a number of JSE-listed contractors as well as large development companies located in SA and throughout Africa.
In 2014, he started his own project management consultancy that offers a highly specialised portfolio of services to the construction and engineering industries. Kobus offers a rare combination of a no-nonsense analytical approach, coupled with his years of ‘in-the-trenches’ experience so he really understands the day-to-day struggles of managing a construction project. It is for this reason that he is an ideal Course Leader as he is aware of all of the aspects that need to be considered and juggled to achieve tangible results on-time and within budget!
Kobus says, “if you are like a lot of construction software users, much of your experience has been gained the old-fashioned way through trial and error. Whilst this approach may have gotten you through so far, it can also be a source of constant frustration because you are limited in how you can push the programme you are using to the max. My training courses will show you how to use the available software to plan, monitor and schedule your projects to achieve your full resource potential and we will also cover how to track and analyse your projects with a better understanding of the impact of changes.”
