Allan Tarita has more than 30 years of practical experience, primarily in the oil & gas industry working initially with Shell Canada before joining Coopers & Lybrand and then PriceWaterhouseCoopers (Sector Leader Oil & Gas Portfolio).
He has developed and specialises in a holistic approach towards asset management and seeks the underlying true definition of maintenance and asset management – that both processes are in simplest terms no more that the art of successfully matching people to equipment and other assets within an organisation. And he has developed a reputation for combining tried and tested techniques with innovative new ideas to target change management, strategy, and strategic cost leadership from both an operations and maintenance perspective using real-life examples and experience to communicate these concepts.
His broad-base of experience ranges from practical working knowledge and implementation of sustainable change management strategies to consulting on organisational leadership, strategy development and execution in a significant number of globally based heavy industries. His knowledge also covers the breadth and depth of closely related topics from contractor management and outage management through to maintenance planning and scheduling, preventive maintenance, root cause failure analysis and maintenance business process optimisation.
